Frustrations but still hope!!

So I made this blog hoping it would inspire me to do more… Day by day, i worked out for long periods of time went on paleo, then decided to do it 80/20…. Finally got invite to an all you can sushi buffet… But only could eat one and a half plates of food…

I realized i eat a lot slower for some reason and recently numbers just isnt my friend.

Workout wise i can see differences in my body but weight is a lot higher… I got down to 310 and was able
To wear a size 20… Now, im 322 and able to wear size 20 again. At 310 i did not work out at all.. Now, working out is like my part time job. 5 days a week with min of 2 continuous hours plus yoga class whenever i can.

Alot of people are saying fat weighs less than muscle… So reflecting on my last two fat tests.. 2008 i was 56.7 body fat.
2011 i was 71 percent body fat which i thought was really high.. And scary, at that point i really could not walk…

Just now im at 58.9. Still very scary but.. I need to stop living in lala land saying that just cause i dont feel old, i dont feel pain, no one treats me differently, does not mean for me not to do anything with myself.

I have to constantly tell myself the reason why i am doing what i do. Honestly, it makes me sad that I even have to remind myself. Sometimes I wish I could just enjoy working out and eating right… Which at times I do, and just feel its a choice not a necessity.

But honestly enough of my pity party…

I did in fact was convinced to buy a size 18 dress for possibly the Navy Ball… Though it was pretty i was not convinced I would wear it in time… For jeans there is a huge difference in thigh width between 22, 20 and 18… Soooo…. I am really bottom heavy… So I purchased it, that night i tried it on… I actually could zip it up unto the mid back!!! I mean the waist was actually easy!!!! So umm my mom saw that almost cried and told me if I keep walking and working out I will be able to cut down on the fat on my back n arms… So I am looking forward to that…

This weekend!

So yesterday I managed to weight myself! After 8 hours of working out this week… sadness filled my heart when I found out I gained 1.2lbs!!! But luckily my mother, trainer, husband and a few other people told me not to give up because what I am doing is gaining muscle and of course muscle weighs more than fat; in addition, once i gain more muscle it will burn more fat!

Some of my girlfriends on the paleo decided to do a cheat today but for me?! I decided to treat myself with some homemade paleo sushi rolls :D yep sushi without rice!  Of course that meant going to the farmer’s market to get all the goods.

When I got to the farmer’s market…EVERYTHING made me drool… oh they had such beautiful Rambutan! One of my favorite childhood fruits and I was able to try delicious dragonfruit!  I had to get one of course!  This particular farmer’s market had beef for an incredibly low price and the farm they use doesn’t add antibiotics or hormones in the beef so I was totally impressed!  The fish section: Did I mention I love seafood?!  Fresh fish everywhere!!! Great prices even had some fish only 2.99 a lb!

But finally I went to the asian section where I saw a variety of kimchi’s, blood sausage and BAM sushi fish! lol I LOVE SUSHI! I love pretty much any meat I could practically eat raw… :D So yes I’m all into the easy over eggs, the medium rare to rare beef, and hehe…did I mention sushi?  So grabbed some ingredients took it home where my bro and I crafted our lovely concoction.  Instead of rice, we smashed some ripe avocados and spread it upon the roll.  I must admit, the sushi with the fish eggs in the rolls were the best but, regardless I think all of you should not despair on the paleo lifestyle… Even if you use it as a diet, there are so many beautiful options and alternatives to the things you love! :)  I can’t wait until my  mini bday party :) Totally making an almond chocolate cookie cake! :D

Update !

Its only been six days on my new journey back into weightloss. During the previous fall/winter season i managed to lose 48-49 lbs give or take. Originally 358, i havent weighed myself since sunday which is down to 317, yes i got off the paleo ate crappy food didnt work out n BAM! I got back up to 322. So far 5 lbs down and food could not taste any better!

Yesterday I walked for an hour and a half and then decided hey i may need a personal trainer! And had broiled whiting, zuchinni and eggplant for dinner!! So delicious!

Today was a work out! One hour of walking in hilly terrain and also an hour doing core n arm exercises with my personal trainer! I couldn’t wait for anyone else especially those with excuses I just have to do me!!!!

I decided to start back on paleo 100% June 1, 2013 and also yesterday I decided to buy a pair of shoes and just go ahead and start walking! These were on clearance for only 39.99 from Dicks Sporting Goods! I got a nice sweat in!!

This is my last progression pics I was originally 358 on the left was in Oct 2012 344 and right April or May 2013 at 315.. My last official weigh in was 322!! Which indicated to me, I may need some outside help!
